Hi Juan,
I think Octane Texture displacement in LW plugin is NOT working correctly.
Whatever i do for Displacement direction i can't get same result as in standalone when set to "smoothed normal direction".
Check these two screen-grabs. in Octane standalone it's correct (no gaps between BOX edges) while in LW edges always go separated no matter which option is used and i think something is not correct there or hooked up properly in plugin.
Can you please check this and fix that in plugin ?
Thanks

Thanks Lewis, I'll take a look at it as soon as I have finished all the work related to the universal camera. If the behavior in Standalone is not the same, perhaps as you say there is a bug on the plugin side.

Lewis, can you send me this scene? The plugin option seems right in the plugin code. I wonder if the problem comes from the lack of smoothed normals, something that in a cube must be done using a smoothing threshold > 180º

Ok good so there is workaround. I wonder can plugin then activate/automate that somehow 'coz in standalone i do not need to do that change.
Standalone used my LW scene export and it works fine there and different when switching modes while in LW nothing changes on switching modes, so maybe standalone is doing in automatically the code when that option is ON then it's 180 degrees automated?
I ask because with plugin we need to reload scene every time we check/uncheck smoothing angle there so it's problematic workflow.
Thanks for checking this
