Hello,

This is happening very often and in spite of my searching this forum and the FB group I can't fix it. Sometimes I just need to restart my machine and then it works. This time, there's nothing I can do.

I keep getting this error:

CUDA error 2 on device 0: out of memory
-> failed to allocate device memory
device 0: failed to allocate film buffer

My scene has about 7 million faces.

I'm running the latest of Octane (2020) on Max 2020, windows 10, GTX1060 (3GB) with nvidia driver version 441.66.

I hope someone can help!

Can you share a copy of your scene? It's hard to guess by just what you posted.

Thanks a lot!!

I'll have a look at these links. Thankfully I managed to meet my deadline thanks to Arnold... didn't render as fast though!

I think you don't have enough video memory.

Unless you try CPU memory On you will be never render 7 million Poly with only 3GB at all, it won't on my 8GB... try standalone but surely 3GB ONLY VRAM are not enough for my experience and I did discuss this plenty of time
