Is it possible to tap into C4D's viewport shading features when using Octane?

When using C4D standard/physical render it is always really nice to see a good representation of a shader in the viewport. I'm aware that loosing the nice viewport shading features is very common place when using a third party render engine but wouldn't it be nice to have all of that stuff work in some way with the Octane plugin? I know that better viewport shading will eat some VRam that could be used for rendering but there's something about retaining all the native viewport functionality that makes a plugin feel really satisfying to use.

The API probably doesn't allow for this I'm guessing. Or it is somehow impractical when considering the wider Octane ecosystem but I figured I'd ask. Maybe there is a way to switch to using C4D to draw the viewport shaders?

Not a big problem but it would be nice to have :)
