Hi,
The "Clip" input using LightWave nodes is not going to work at all. You need to use the Octane nodes linked to the Octane material opacity input. With this workflow, you should be able to animate the parameters, but remember to enable the "Mat.Upd" option in the IPR to let the materials update if you move the timeline. For the final rendering in scene update mode, you also need to enable the Update Materials option in the render target root node options panel.
