Render Slave Buy Options

Hello there,

I am very confused about all different Subscription/Buy models of Octane and Plugins, so I will just ask what I have to buy.

My status-quo: Having Octane 4 Standalone with the C4D Plugin. Not the subscription and no active Maintenance bought. So just the plugin for c4d.

I want to build a new machine with RTX technology and use my current 4x1080 ti setup for network slave rendering.

My 2 questions:

1.: Do I have to buy the 699€ Octane Render in order to use it as standalone on my old machine, while using the already paid model on my new one? Or can I also use the enterprise slave node subscription in combination with my bought render version?

2.: Can I use for example 4xRTX 2080 Ti on my new machine and render with the RTX booster, while also simultaneously rendering on the same project with the render slave, the one with GTX 1080 Ti in it?

• 1. No, if you want to use new versions, you can purchase an annual Enterprise subscription updatefor your Combo v4 license for 199€, but at the end of the annual maintenance, your licenses will go back to v4:

  if you want to upgrade also your v4 perpetual licenses to perpetual v2020, the upgrading path is more expensive, but lower than 699€, and depends if you had already purchase an Annual extension or not.

  For Net render with commercial or subscription Enterprise licenses, you can purchase extra Slave nodes annual license for less than 99€, or pay monthly for 9.99€:

  Note that all upgrade paths are offering you the possibility to use any kind of Octane DCC plugins (including C4D), and also the ORC Octane Render Cloud subscription (render credits need to be purchased separately).
• 2. yes sure, of course the RTX acceleration will be used only on GPUs with RTX chip, but you can mix the GPUs also on the same machine, not only in Network rendering.
