I'm still awaiting access to the closed beta. It's really frustrating this is taking so long. A public beta should have been released month's ago with the caveat that it should only be used for testing purposes and not actual production work, which is basically the assumed disclaimer for all betas. So much of the community is DYING to test this out. Even if we can't rely on it for production work right now, PLEASE let us test it already!!!

If it were entirely in my hands, we would have had a public beta in December. It's super close. Please be patient :)

The devs can't come out and say it, but the delays have been because of Apple. Metal is a moving target.

Undoubtedly. Which is why we're now waiting on 10.15.6. Let's just hope it's not 10.15.7...

Well, there’s a public 10.15.6 beta out, so maybe we'll see something built for that.

We're not waiting for Apple - Octane X works with 10.15.5. It's in closed beta, then it will be in open beta. The devs have made this clear. It's waiting for the open beta that's frustrating.

I thought we were waiting for the OSL component, which is reliant on updates to Metal.
