materials not updating

hi,

i am using the node interface but it seems not to be updating on in certain moments.
also the linear material editor and the node based one are not always in sync.
example: i will remove a material on the left side editor, but it will remain connected in the nodal one.

hi,

it also seems that if i copy nodes they are treated as instances. there are uses for this but in node based workflow its a bit redundant.

the nodes i copy dont actually retain connections.
deleting material is not reversible aswell.

also the linear material editor and the node based one are not always in sync.
The syncing is only one way. If you change something in the node system from the OctaneGUI side, you will need to close the unreal editor and reopen it.
If you got a desync while using unreal editor only, please let me know how you did this.



But yea, the unreal octane material editor needs another pass.

The folowing items are on the list:
- Added more preview refreshes
- Async preview rendering
- Retain connections when copying
- Undo/Redo

i will keep this in mind.
i also noticed the bug reporting subforum.
should i post these things over there?

I check both so do whatever suits you. Bug forum is a bit cleaner though :)
