Hello there

my 2 friends and me have finally decided to obtain Octane license, however we have a little problem with the whole licensing stuff. Only one of us does have a paypal account, so we would like him to buy the license 3-pack and transfer those licenses to us... Is this possible? If yes, what is the required course of action - step by step?

My apology if this was already answered somewhere else...

Thanks in advance

For us it's easier if you just buy the licenses yourself each, otherwise everyone needs to go through the purchase process to get registered as a customer.

Thanks

but what does it mean exactly? Is it some complication for you, thing, which has to be done manually instead of automatic process, but still possible?

Surely you understand we would rather not set up pay-pal accounts, if we do not have to. Especially when this is going to be one-off purchase, we will not need those accounts after that. At least not until 2.0 version is out :-) Personally i do not even use classic internet banking, do all this money stuff in rather old good ways...
BTW if the problem is in that 3-pack, we can ask him to buy 3 independent licenses instead of that 3-pack...that is non-issue - the whole point for us is just to avoid dealing with pay-pal...if he can buy it for us...

I think it would be easier for us if you do 3 separate transactions and enter the correct forum user name etc for each then I think it should actually happen automatically if you put your separate usernames (we may just want to correct your email address etc).

Would this be right Radiance?

yeah, as we need all the customer accounts, it's a real hell to manually create them all afterwards, as you'll all have to to fake purchases and lots of emails. you don't need a paypal account to pay for a license, you can pay via paypal without having a paypal account with a CC.

Right now i am only registered into this forum, which i suppose is separate registration from customer area...sooo can i register into customer area, respectively have my friend to register me with provided info (username, password, mail, etc...) and then he can buy the license with his pay-pal for me? That would make sense...so the license will be purchased to my octane customer account without need to set-up my very own pay-pal stuff... is that right, yes?

Hi,

No, the customer doing the transaction must be the owner of the license, eg the one that pays.
You do not need a paypal account to pay for an octane license, you can pay directly via CC without any paypal account.

Hi there,

later yesterday i managed to purchase Octane with my friends pay-pal, so all is good... just want to ask, when can i expect to be allowed into customer area (aka when will my name turn purple? :) ) I would not ask and just wait, but my buddy bought it maybe 10 minutes before me and he was good to go maybe half an hour later... so i want just to be sure that my purchase process was correct and is registered by you...

Thanks
