OCTANE AND LIGHTWAVE 2020
Moderator: juanjgon
Well I am not sure what to use? I do not have a prescription so I tried downloading studio for lightwave and it loaded but says I do not have a prescription to activate.
So could you please be more specific on what I should be downloading and installing?

No I own the lightwave plugin and the stand alone before they went subscription. I just updated to my lightwave 2020 and wanted to switch my license from 2019 to 2020. Am I going to be able to use my purchased octane with 2020 or not? or my 2019 with lightwave 2020?
If it is not going to work I made a mistake updating to lightwave 2020. I sure would like to understand what I am going to be able to run with my lightwave?
I just put in a request for a refund for my 202o update of light wave. If I can not run my purchased License with it I am not going to pay 400$ for the update and also a subscription for octane. It should have been clear My purchased license was not going to work with future versions. It should have been stated!

Sorry, what Octane version do you have? The last one before subscription was 4.05, I think.
This 4.05 Octane version doesn't have a proper plugin build for LightWave 2020.0, but I know that other users are working with the LW2019 plugin build in LW2020 without problems so far, so you could try it before requesting for a refund for the LW2020 update.
Thanks,
-Juanjo
