Maybe im missing something but I cant seem to get the specular material with a scatter medium plugged in on a cube to be used as fog with the latest build. Previous 2019 build worked fine.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Hi!
It works correctly here: Using a plane is generally better than using a box.
When reporting a bug, attaching scenes and screenshots is generally very important.

I think the key is to make sure that the normals for the plane (or cube) are pointing in the right direction. They must point towards the camera.

Your scene renders the fog fine but as soon as i turn down the scatter amount it goes black/darkening. This doesn't happen in c4d.
So I exported the blender scene as an fbx and opened it in c4d and used the octane sun and sky etc and rendered it. The fog material on the plane is fine, even going up and down on the fog scattering and it doesn't go dark.
Just trying to get to the bottom of this, sorry if im a pain in the butt.

Yeah, I get the same, must be a bug. I wrote out a ORBX and tested it in 2020.1 standalone and it has the same issue. Is your C4D plugin an older version of Octane?

Yes, I think this is definitely a bug. I'll try in Standalone to check if is a Core bug that needs to be addressed.
