Half the speed , since a 2080ti and 1080ti are being idle . Which is a waste of power.
So when the displaycards are being used, this error seems to happen.
Perhaps the problem is that LightWave, the NVIDIA drivers, another application or the system is using more and more memory in the display GPU, leaving not enough memory for Octane. It is hard to say what could be the problem, but if you can render the scene disabling the display GPU, I wonder if this issue could not come from Octane itself.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Hi,

I've updated the first post including a new proper plugin build for the just-released LightWave 2020.0!
https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... 2020.0.zip

Thx Juanjo !
Can you tell us if there's any benefit in running Octane with LW 2020 ?

The pass looked washed out, like if the gamme was off, and sometimes it shows "blocks" that are rendered differently in the image.
If I disable network rendering, everything is fine.
Hi Mastoy,

Would you be able to share this scene with us as well as your device and network daemon settings?

Thank you.

I can't sorry, some of the objects are property of my client. I will try to replace those with other objects and see if the problem is still there.
If it is, would you like the LW scene or an export to orbx ?

If the problem persists also in standalone an ORBX would be preferred. Thank you.

I just tested with LW 2020 + Octane production build 2020.1.0.7 and the problem is still there.

Here are the files :

- Lightwave scene : https://we.tl/t-A6Plm2LQfa
- Orbx file : https://we.tl/t-Kw8PNBBG0i

Remember that the problem on the AO pass occurs only when network rendering is used.

Are spectron lights only spotlight type ? It seems that's the only thing we can plug into this light.

The other spectron lights (quad and sphere) are available enabling the "Use Spectron Prims" option. The node editor is there for the convoluted spotlight workflow only.

Thanks,
