1. No Vulkan development plan which means, no AMD graphics possible in the Windows desktop. This allows still for Nvidia to have a monopoly with no competition and higher prices in the Windows platform.
...On the topic of 2020.2 though, I am really excited to see its going to be a stability / performance focused release. Kudos!

One of the key feature that i still miss in standalone, is the ability to access velocity and custom float and color attributes with the scatter node. To be able to compute motion blur or motion vector AOV, and to access custom colors and transparency attributes of instances created in houdini or C4D. I am not sure the new Vectron Scatter will be able to handle this ? At the moment the format use to store points xform and attributes is CSV , i think that the ability to also use .abc to read points sequence could be nice.
Cheers
EDIT :
Here is a production case on the houdini chan where the user is stuck because octane can't read per instance custom attribute and link attribute in a shader :

Much appreciated, thank you! I hope we'll hear more about it in the future (Another Siggraph / Khronos Group talk?). I'm really interested in seeing how the ecosystem develops especially now that AMD is getting on par with the RT HW. Happy to see Otoy push the innovation bar forward! Major Kudos!Goldorak wrote:I had tons on Vulkan but cut it out, to keep it under two hoursnejck wrote:I'd like to +1 this just for competitiveness sakeeklein wrote: ...
