Hello again for another crash,
I have a c4d file that works perfectly, I save it, quit c4d, open the file again, I have a octane.dll crash when octane is loading a particular texture image.
This texture image is a simple texture map that works very well when octane success to load.
If I remove that image for the texture folder the scene can open smoothly and then I have to manually reconnect the texture path.
I am on C4D R21, 2019.1.5 R3, Driver 442.19
Thank you.

Try re-naming the file. Sometimes various caches in your system get corrupted, so you can force a new association/cache entry by using a new file name. This can happens in all sorts of situations, not just C4D/Octane, and can occur at lots of different levels.

My request is simple Aoktar :aoktar wrote:Well, what's your request? thanks!
I would like to be able to open a file that previously worked very well without octane crashing on opening.
Don't you think it should not be requested ?
You should describe and define the problem with a better data for a help.
Where it crash exactly? in rendering or material preview? Also tried to clean texCache? "c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\cache\texCache "

Ahmet, could we maybe have a little "Clear Texture Cache" button next to the "Use Texture Caching" checkbox in Settings/Other like there is in Stand Alone? This problem or ones like it seem to pop up regularly.aoktar wrote:You should describe and define the problem with a better data for a help.

Thanks for advice! But I feel that's a bug in core and reported. It should be fixed to don't happen again in next sdks.frankmci wrote:Ahmet, could we maybe have a little "Clear Texture Cache" button next to the "Use Texture Caching" checkbox in Settings/Other like there is in Stand Alone?
