We have just received our first Oculus Quest and it is looking good. Are there any plans to get the current orbx viewer running on it and available for download? In the interim could it be sideloaded in developer mode. What thoughts have been given on how to load content onto this combination.
Similarly a while back there was discussion of releasing a scripted node, script or some internal capability within Octane Standalone to generate VR tours with hostspots to display in the Orbx Viewer. We still find the Orbx viewer to be the most smooth and robust method of all for the display of Tours, Panoramas and Cube maps and are keen to see it maintained on new platforms going foward.
Thanks

Hi MB,
yes, it is really really sad that this issues does not get any love from otoy at all ! I have been begging for improvements for years now but finally given up since there seems to be zero interest to improve the situation.
Our company is in the same situation, we still think the best visual experience is the orbx player , but to generate stereoscopic VR tours is a pain in the ##### . We have to script everything in the text editor ! The visual placeholders for the hotspots often disappear out of the blue, there is no possibility to bring in additional content like interactive text boxes or sound / pictures, the possibilities are basically the same as when this was first released years ago. It is soooo sad, because our clients react very well to this "static" VR tours, you got high visual quality render, very easy intuitive Navigation and wire free easy to set up hardware...
really frustrating
best

It's just a matter of priorities while we get Octane itself further along. We want to revisit the Quest after Octane X is done and we can unify our latest AR/VR tech for mobile into OMP.
Is it possible to take the current OMP app and post it on the Quest Store so we can download it.
