Hey Paul,
i have some issues with vertexmaps:
-Using a Vertexmap with a Texturedisplacement does not work
-Ticking Load Cage causes the VMap to mess up
-Using a VMap with the Displacementmixer does not work
Maybe you can look into this

Hi. Load Cage does not support Vertex Maps. The issue with Vertex Displacement, and Vertex Displacement Mixer not working with Vertex Maps has previously been reported to OTOY, and I am waiting on a response back.
Thanks
Paul
Thanks

That's not quite true. Vertex normal maps still work.face_off wrote:Hi. Load Cage does not support Vertex Maps.
You can see this in your own tooltips. If you enable load cage, and looks at the "smoothing angle" tooltip, it states:
"If no vertex normal map is found for this cage, then this smoothing angle is used to generate normals."
So, if you have a vertex normal map (that controls the mesh smoothing), it gets loaded correctly. Can you look at how that's working? Maybe it will help you to get other vmaps working too.
