Do you think that Octane X will be less crash prone than the current CUDA version?
I have so many crashes related to Material Previews and Open GL Previews, they are unusable. Will these features in Octane X be running on Metal?
I don't care if Octane X is half the speed of the CUDA version I just want more stability.

Could you give me better information about your crashes? Don't you think you have something wrong on your setup for example?

For what its worth, I also get frequent 1-2 second freezes if I have material previews on with complex(er) materials. Literally anything that causes a material preview refresh freezes the UI for a second or so. I thought it was just me running into it so I never reported it
Running a 2x 2696v3 with 2x 2080tis on Windows 10. Not sure if thats of any help at all though :\

That's why I ask you, because I don't get these problems. Reporting these with the proper information can help you to find the problem.mitchino wrote:Just in general Aoktar, I've always suffered a lot of crashes since I started using Octane. It's a lot more stable if I switch of Material & Open GL Previews, they cause extraordinary slowness and instability I find.
