Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for helping test this release.

Even though it was a bit premature and I should have probably waited a bit more until i had something a bit more bug-free,
I released this one to get the linux users the possibility to enter the competition.

I'm working steadily towards another release which will be complete,
with many fixes and some new features...

Hi, I'd rather not at this point.
It's not an official release and it's not %100 finished to tout as a demo version on the 'get octane' page...
let's wait until i make the next completed release :)

make sure you have installed the correct version of freeimage.
older versions don't support hdr and exr images.

see this post for details: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... 2&start=30

just download it from the site and read the README that comes with it.
if you do the whole readme file, you're done.
it's super simple. (don't forget to install freeimageplus too, it's at the end of the readme)
