I have an Enterprise License for Maya
I have a PC and a Mac and I have uninstalled both plugins on the PC (One for Maya 2020 and one for Maya 2019)

When you load the plugin manager both versions show the plugin is not installed in auto mode or other mode.

When I try and deactivate the plugin from the octane live tab I get errors for both Maya versions...

failed to deactivate all licenses used on this computer:
Other instances of Octane are still running, please close .....

THERE ARE NO OTHER INSTANCES of Octane running. Standalone or other maya versions... I checked the task manager too... nothing.

So I have uninstalled the plugins TRIED to deactivate.... no success... I can not run my Mac Version of the plugin. I can run the standalone on both machines at separate times.

I do not have to deactivate the standalone on the PC do I.... that would make no sense... its not running so it should not be active.

Is this a bug or are there a special sequence of events that this has to be done in an order... very frustrating.

(Sorry for the rant... for such an incredible render... the licensing is just annoying!)

Thanks

Peter

Does this still happen after restarting your machine? There's a chance that when a program using Octane crashes it may exit without releasing its license and leave a corrupted state that may look like the process is still running.

Thanks
I’ll try that... but the machine is in a different location so I am sort of delayed a day each way testing it!
Thanks for the quick response though.

Just to give feedback... yep restarting did it.
Not urgent... but would be nice if we did not have to do that aye.

Thanks
