H. Any time I try to drag a texture file right into the node editor, my C4D crashes. Sometimes it loads the texture, but when I plug it into the channel, C4D freezes and I have to close it. It happens with any texture, for any channel. I'm using a universal material but it also happens in other material types. I'm attaching a video below to showcase:

It's ended on "octane.dll", so it's crash on the renderer. Not a thing I can solve. There may be a driver related issue
1-Try to enable "Debug" mode of driver.
2-Try older studio drivers.

I have been having the same error. It was corrected with a fresh install of 2019.1.5. The C4d re-install did not have an effect. I found the problem was in the C:\Users\.....\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\cache\texCache\imageTex directory. When I deleted the ImageTex cache the system would not crash. When the problem would randomly re-occur when adding a image texture. Deleting the ImageTex cache would correct the problem. This is a patch fix but hopefully helpful

There was another user in the forum with what was probably a cache corruption problem just recently. I'm going to formally request a "clear all caches/lookup tables/etc." or equivalent option be added. It's one of those universal computing problems that can drive you crazy when it's happening inexplicably under the hood. I'm guessing it really needs to be implemented at the engine level, though, not just the plugin.drwarnertx wrote:I have been having the same error. It was corrected with a fresh install of 2019.1.5. I'm experiencing same issue with image textures and unfortunately deleting cache didn't help. I had to switch to a previous version of octane ( 2018 ), loading the textures and the switch to 2020 again.

Did you run "Empty texCache" command?
