Hi all,
Sorry for asking dumb question but I have to ask.
When you render passes, say emission pass, you also have option to render denoised emission pass as well.
Do you render both? or just the denoised emission only, because it'll look better without noise?
Thought my co-workers would think of me dumb if I asked them so I ask here lol

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I would say, if you don't need a pass, don't save it.
Better to enable only the strictly necessary passes, to avoid to waste system RAM while handling the frame buffer, especially if AI Denoiser is enabled.
Happy GPU Rendering,

Depending on your taste, you may or may not want or need both passes. There are times when it's nice to be able to mix them in post, though. Sometimes if you're using relatively low sampling, for instance, the denoiser makes things look a bit too much like bad Hollywood plastic surgery. In those cases, introducing a little of the noise back into the image makes it look a lot better.
