So we have the Convert Materials to Octane, this was an excellent addition. Helps get things kick started from older scenes that were not Octane specific in the beginning.
We offer VR to our clients as well, exporting FBX from layout will include the textures if they are in standard format, not octane. As we develop our models (even octane specific) we will generically setup the diffuse texture in the OGL standard node as well as setup the octane materials.
Would it be possible to add a button/plugin that allows the user to Convert back to the standard material? Basically plugging the standard node back up in the node editor. This would give us a quick back and forth when we need to export objects over to Unity.
Is there a better way already...thanks for any feedback.

I do leave them, LW Nodes go into OGL and Octane go into Material. However FBX export does not do anything with the textures in this format/configuration. The material input I guess is all it looks at (which make sense, can't ask them to change that I don't think).juanjgon wrote:Why don't you leave both the Octane and LightWave material nodes at the same time in the node editor?

Just thought if it was fairly simple to reverse the process that we currently have, it would be nice...even if you didn't use it for what I'm doing. Just to REVERT basically. Seems like it could be a nice user interaction piece.
