DAZ is pretty much consistently crashing for me every other render. I have two crash reports saved from this (See attached) .. I'm using latest everything with the following system spec:

Intel i7 5960X
X99 Delux2 II MB
DRR 4 3600 GSkill Trident Z Ram (64 gigs worth)
Two Titan X (Maxwell class).
And 1600 Watts of power.

DAZ crashes so damn often I can set my watch by it .. and of course this is during Octane Renders .. iray has been fine .. and general operation of DAZ is okay. But after the 2nd or 3rd render in Octane it will crash.

I'm wondering if somehow the graphics cards are running out of memory? .. or system ram? .. despite having a tonne of it. Either way .. hope the crash report helps .. because this is getting REALLY annoying.

Can you please provide the information requested at the top of this thread. And have you tried to Solutions 1 and 2 at the top of this thread?

Friend, I have a beast computer, and it's not the computer. Since buying this Octane Render plugin for DAZ Studio I have suffered in making animations. It is locked, error etc. But I still use it because it is faster than IRAY. An IRAY frame lasts 10 minutes, unlike Octane it does in 1 minute and 30 seconds.

I am rendering a 4 minute animation and it will take 36 hours in total renders. But every 36 minutes it stays frozen.

I have to be coming every 36 minutes to close everything and restart where it stayed.

With this, it will take me 36 hours of the total renders plus the total time I have to come to restart this.

But if I let it render with IRAY it will take a much much longer time in total. So I endure that annoyance that you feel.

Information:
- Operating System : Windows 10 Home (latest)
- Amount of RAM: 64 gigs DDR4 3600
- Graphics Card(s): Titan X - 9th Gen Maxwell (two of them, not running in SLI)
- Nvidia driver version: 436.48
- DAZ Studio version: 4.12.0.86
- OctaneRender for DAZ Studio version: 4.2.1.44

And yes I have tried the fixes mentioned. Those have cleared up past problems .. but does not solve the issue of DAZ crashing after a couple of renders.

I would recommend updating to the latest version of the Octane 4 plugin, and let me know if that resolves your issue.

I thought I had the latest .. the only other one I saw was for an enterprise license?
I will check the downloads but I was under the impression this was the latest. It doesn't help that the numbering is confusing because it jumps from 4.2 .... to 2019 ... and I believe I had tried that one only to find it wanted an enterprise license?!?

I will try it again and see if this helps.

Yes .. the latest Octane Render version doesn't work for me as it's looking for an Enterprise license.

Ah I see .. I was going by what was on the downloads page .. might wanna update that .. and put a ark next to the Enterprise only versions .. it's VERY confusing as to which one is current for all the different types of users.
Anyways .. I have downloaded this and will install it now.

Thanks

Well after a few renders .. it happened again. DAZ crashed as it has been doing during it's 3rd render. I've included the crash report here:

The crash dump says
Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFCEAE924C0 (nvcuda.dll) in crashdump.dmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000000000000040.
so potentially an Nvidia driver issue (perhaps try the Studio driver), or could it be your cards are overheating?
