You have to turn on motionblur for instances. Also enable motion blur in the LW camera settings.
You won't see motion blur in the IPR window only on F/9F10 renders

Any news for Octane particles in LW yet? Instances do have their limits numbers & speed wise.

Not yet, but it is one of the planned features in the short term, probably before the end of the yearNemesisCGI wrote:Any news for Octane particles in LW yet? Instances do have their limits numbers & speed wise.

Thanks,

That unfortunately doesn't work in LW 2015.3, limitation of LW's sdkNemesisCGI wrote:You have to turn on motionblur for instances. Also enable motion blur in the LW camera settings.

That version is over 4 years old now. There's a lot added to LW2019.x

If I saved jobs with Octane 2019 for LW, would I be able to open it in Octane 4 for LW?.. Or am I going to run into problems? I ask, because I am not planning on renewing my Enterprise subscription, and just going with Octane 4 for old jobs. I'm hoping that I will still be able to open the LWS files, but maybe just need to tweak stuff (render kernel, features, etc, that are exclusive to Octane 2019)... Juanjo, can you please give guidance on this?

In theory, from the .lws files point of view should be possible, but be aware that any setting or node not available in the earlier version will be lost. In any case, you should check yourself what happens in your scenes. The backward compatibility is never guaranteedFrankPooleFloating wrote:If I saved jobs with Octane 2019 for LW, would I be able to open it in Octane 4 for LW?.. Or am I going to run into problems? Thanks J! Yeah, rolling back to 4 should be quick and easy, and I'll need to do that anyway, so that's what I'll do, and test a couple. Had you answered that Octane 2019 LWS files would absolutely not open with Octane 4 LW, or I'd have major problems, I'd have no choice but to renew my sub, or buy a perpetual upgrade to 2019, if Jules make that an option. Hopefully this will all work out. I have clients that love to go back and make tweaks to old work, so I'll still be around some. I think you know how much I have appreciated you over the years Juanjo, and I still feel that way friend. I simply had to move on from LW, and my life is soooo much better for having done it. So thanks again pal, so very much.

FrankPooleFloating, out of interest what did you move on to from LW? I am stuck on 11.6.x and looking elsewhere is an option instead of upgrading.
