Thanks for the update.

The universal material with a mix material is not glowing anymore, but for me it seems the effect of SSS is very low compared to a normal diffuse or specular material.

Thanks Paul. Been way too busy with my job. Will download and test. I think I have a scene for you where the pose always loads wrong. Will post it over the weekend in my issue tracking thread.

Hi Paul,

So far the latest plugin is stable. Btw. I was able to re-create the pose orientation issue at load and have posted it in my issue tracking thread (viewtopic.php?f=44&t=72407&start=10#p372978). I have attached the test scene file in that post so hopefully you will be able to debug with that and resolved it for us.

Thanks and regards,
Rajib

Hi Paul,

I am getting frequent render engine failure. Attached it the screen shot of the Octane's System's panel.

I'am having an issue with displacment maps. I've for a material (type dosn't matter) with a texture-displacement node. If i route the texture direct into the texture-displacement node it works fine, but if i route the texture through any other node before the texture-displacement, like a color correction node or an mix-texture node, the displacement won't appear anymore. Is this a known issue?

From the log, it looks like Octane ran out of RAM or VRAM. May I suggest trying some different OutOfCore settings. If that does not help, I suggest posting in the Octane Standalone release thread, as these are Octane errors, rather than coming from the plugin.

Hi - that is an Octane limitation. You need to use the Baked Image Texture between your texture and the Displacement texture pin.

DAZ is pretty much consistently crashing for me every other render. I have two crash reports saved from this (See attached) .. I'm using latest everything with the following system spec:

Intel i7 5960X
X99 Delux2 II MB
DRR 4 3600 GSkill Trident Z Ram (64 gigs worth)
Two Titan X (Maxwell class).
And 1600 Watts of power.

DAZ crashes so damn often I can set my watch by it .. and of course this is during Octane Renders .. iray has been fine .. and general operation of DAZ is okay. But after the 2nd or 3rd render in Octane it will crash.

I'm wondering if somehow the graphics cards are running out of memory? .. or system ram? .. despite having a tonne of it. Either way .. hope the crash report helps .. because this is getting REALLY annoying.
