If I go to render an image in the C4D picture viewer and set the samples to 2000, get 1000 samples in and feel it looks good enough and stop the render nothing is saved. In versions 4.02.x ( I think, Could be 4.04.x ) and earlier they would save the image and render passes at that exact point. Now when I hit cancel nothing is saved at all. No image or render passes. This goes for all 2018/2019 versions and anything past 4.05 as well...

Any ideas if this is something that can be resolved? I don't think it's a C4D thing since I originally was using this method on R19 with octane 4.02 with no issues. It's when I went up to 4.05 on R19 that it started. I currently use R21 and octane 2019.1.3

Thanks!

Probably due to a change on render processing algorithm in plugin side. I cannot say that's possible to revert for back style.

Ah man, that's too bad.

Understand though. Thanks for getting back to me.

There's something that cannot be correct. saving the main image is not handled by plugin so it should be how with standard renderer. In short I cannot modify that, just I can change how passes are saved.

Here is a video of what I've done in the past and has always worked perfectly:

It is exactly what I was doing with Octane for the past 3 years before the 4.05 version came out.
