I'm playing with the Image Tile Tex, and finally figured out how it to use it in Blender, but it doesn't seem work correctly.
My files are named image_0001.png, image_0002.png etc up to image_0100.png.
I have set the pattern to "image_%i.png" via the Image data-block name, and Grid to 10x10, Start to 1 and Digits to 4
The result doesn't look right and if I go to the Node Graph and open the Image Tile settings it has assigned image_0001.png to [1,1] through [9,1], image_0002.png to [10,1] through [8,2] etc, up to image_0009.png.
If I use the same images and the same pattern in Standalone (or change it when viewing the Node Graph) it works fine.
And if I choose the image set that's named image_1001.png - image_1100.png (Setting start to 1001) it doesn't load any images at all (this works fine as well in SA).
(Looking at the, System, Console output, it just says "[...]Resolver. List start" "[...]Resolver. List End", in the above case it lists each file, up to image_0009.png, nine times).
