Hi,

Looking to get a new laptop in the next month or so, I use mainly Octane (with C4D) and Unity.

Always get a bit lost in reviews/recommendations/configurations. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have been looking at the new Razer Studio Edition: https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/ra ... io-edition (RTX 5000
Has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks guys!

That might not be very helpful, but I would start from:
* write down Your needs,
* set the budget or range,
* look around for options (asus is coming with similarly equipped machine)
* and start comparing them based on Your own needs.

For instance, one might need specific color coverage, accuracy, certain amount of VRAM, other features
- sooner than later You could end up realizing that You do not have too many options to choose from.

Normal industry RMA rates are below 5% so if You ask someone experience..their answer might mislead You quite a bit, because they might have fallen into those 5% or what is most likely going to happen needs might not align. In other words, make a decision based on Your needs and not subjective opinion. It's the only way to make sure that Your purchase fits You, Your case of usage.

I have the Razer Blade with the 2080. I love it, it's rock solid. I render all the time on the road.

Studio version has more base RAM (32gb vs 16gb), but the regular version can be upgraded.

So it comes down to if you need the extra vram (8 vs 16) for the extra price.

I also highly recommend the Razer core egpu expansion if you need more power. I have it in a hardshell carry on case with a 2080ti in it for maximum portable render power.
4x 2080ti hybrids, 4x 980ti Hyrbids. C4D, Houdini.

Hi, what's your octanebench score? I was wondering if it's closer to the desktop 2080 or still on the max-q side
