interesting.
so are you running R21 and the same octane version as me and it's working just fine?
Here's another issue I encountered. Live viewer gives me "false" feedback when navigating the scene even though it's not updating the render. Not a big deal but not sure if i's something important to point out. Sometimes even though i have another view set as render view and navigating on a separate view, the LV will constantly update and not continue rendering though.

To answer your previous comment I did do a clean install of R21 and Octane before creating this post, but, it's still the same. I think i'm going to try a clean install of Windows 10 and see if that helps, but honestly i doubt it.

I'm having a lot of issues with this build of Octane.
constant crashing C4D even when Octane is not running. I've sent the bug report to Maxon and they said it's being cause by Octane.
Also getting "Render failure" on the LV. I'm nowhere near the limit on my Vram and this scene is not that complex, currently only three materials.
Here's the bug report i just got but I want to point out that I have never ever had this many crashes with Octane before. Yesterday it crashed no less than 10 times in a 2 hour session. Again, I checked Vram limits and it's all good. Today it crashed by just clicking on new glossy material, nothing else was happening.
Maxon rep suggested to go back to game drivers for Nvidia so I installed 436.48 and selected to delete the previous one.

I don't want to be annoying, but since the time i posted the last message I've had 6 crashes. Doing simple stuff like moving the camera around causes a crash.
Here's the latest bugreport for reference.
Please let me know what else to do to make this work. I can't obviously work like this, I'm spending more time of the day crashing than working.

It will not help to repeat the same messages. It's clear that you have some stability issues on your system. Maybe driver or gpu related. Best to look for issues on your side.

i'm not trying to repeat myself, I know you are very busy, I just thought maybe you would notice something in the bug report.
I've changed my GPU driver 4 times by now and still having issues. Is there anything else I can do at this point?
Do you notice anything that's causing the crash? every 10 minutes i get a crash

As bugreports that happens on OctaneRender and Cuda. And having random crashes that means there's a problem with your DRIVER or GPU. It's not directly a problem with us.jsuarez388 wrote:i'm not trying to repeat myself, I know you are very busy, I just thought maybe you would notice something in the bug report.

So try with one gpu, check if you have overclocked gpu and make a clean re-install of you drivers. 431.xx Studio Driver seems stable as I said before.

Hi!
So a little bit of an update. I got a 2080Ti and currently only using that for rendering. I went back to R5 and stability has been a lot better but not great, still some buggy activity and crashes. I don't think it's a problem with my system. I have a couple of questions:
1.- Why is R5 or R2 no longer in the list available to download?
2.- Every time I start C4D i'm getting a pop up window + a browser window prompting me to download V2019. Is there a way to disable this? I don't have plans on moving to subscription yet and this behavior is obviously very annoying.
I saw there's an R7 available for download so I gotta test that, hopefully it works better with R21.

Issues are not related with plugin part and R5/R2 or R7 has same renderer core. Go with latestjsuarez388 wrote:Hi!
