Hi there,

I am running 3x980 TI Hybrid cards with the latest version of octane. Drivers also the latest.

Is there a logic how Octane assign cards to render?

Whenever I start C4D it chooses the middle card and one card for just denoising. I cannot assign all cards to render. It is very annoying to change that every time after Octane crashes (as it does regularly). I tried to save as a preset but it always jumps back to the state you can see in the attached picture.

Is there a particular reason to have this setting as default? I cannot even set all cards for render. I usually keep one for the viewport, but all cards used to be assignable.

Can someone clarify this problem?

Thank you!

First You should use plugin's device settings.
Second, you should select first device for rendering because you selected it for denoising and tonemapping

Hi,

Thank s for the reply.

That is my point, I am not selecting anything. Octane does. When I change it, Octane changes it back every time I restart.

So what is the suggested device assignment in case of 3 cards?
