I want to use the rent subscription model. Not sure what version do I get with that.
Is it Octane 2018 or 2019 and is that the same as octaneVR?
Does it support RTX ? and can I just download the Cinema 4D plugin alone... without standalone version?

Studio Subscription licenses, in the past were called OctaneVR, are always up to date to the latest version, and yes, you can install v2018 (v5), or v2019.1(v6).
In OctaneRender, Standalone and plugin licenses always work together, and please, download and install also the Standalone application (not the zipped version), since it changes some Windows registry optimized for GPU rendering.
Then you can use only the c4doctane plugin, if you want.
RTX support is not included in Studio version at the moment, but RTX support is not available in c4doctane plugin yet, and it will arrive with v2019.2 (v7).
