Hi Paul,
For some reason Octane materials are not saved between sessions. Every time we close and open the Revit file, the render material changes are lost. We updated to the latest Revit hotfix, uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. No joy.
Plugin version: 2018.1.0.60 (Enterprise)
Revit version 2019.2.2
It's pretty urgent if you can assist pls.
Thanks,
Seeker
PS: The naming convention is still very confusing. Eg. the current test build does say "For Revit 2020" but then the file is named: Revit 2020 - OctaneRender for Revit 2019 2018.1.2.61. Will this build work for Revit 2019? Also, when we go to our account download page (as opposed to the forum download link), there are versions there that seem to not be in the forum download links (referring to Version 4.xxx here) and there is no download link for the current Octane 2019 series for the Revit plugin.
If all else fails with this material issue, which previous version should we try? Could you provide the link please?

So we uninstalled 2019 and installed 4.01.1.57.VR but we get the following error.

Hi again Paul,
We've just seen the same thing - material changes not being retained - is happening in Revit 2017... which worked fine in the past. so I am really baffled here. Could we have broken a file path or something?

Hi Seeker
Paul
Older version of Octane will not work with the latest Nvidia drivers, and give the Octane Log errors you got.So we uninstalled 2019 and installed 4.01.1.57.VR but we get the following error.
I have updated the download links to clear up the confusion.PS: The naming convention is still very confusing.
The Revit2020 version of the plugin will not work in Revit2019.Will this build work for Revit 2019?
I should have the 2019 version of the plugin ready in the next week or so.there is no download link for the current Octane 2019 series for the Revit plugin.
I can reproduce this problem and will report back ASAP once I have a solution. For some reason Octane materials are not saved between sessions.

Seeker - does this release resolve your issue? It is built with the 2019.1.1 version of the plugin, so I suggest not using it with your production scene's.

Thanks a lot for the fast response - it works! As for production work, we don't have much of a choice but to use it. Will let you know if we manage to break it somehow... : )
