Hi!

I am experimenting with vertexdisplacements, and especially the mixer.
In my surface i mix several maps using alphamaps, whichs works perfect.

To displace them, I want to use the vertex displacement mixer.
At first with 2 inputs, and add more when the 2 mix ok.
However, when you increase the amount of inputs, the previous displacements and weights are removed, and you have to plugin them in again.
With the messy setup I have in this node (20+ images and procedurals), it's annoying to plug every node in again.

Is it a bug the connections are removed when you increase the number of inputs or is there a good explanation for it?

Thanks!

This is a problem related to ancient LightWave nodes architecture, that disconnects all the inputs if you reconfigure the node, but I'll try to find a workaroud for it.

Hi Juanjo,

That is a good explanation :)

Thanks, for now I know how to prevent it: plan ahead!
