I've been testing ORBX exports from the c4d plugin for bringing over to unreal engine. If I import the ORBX file into 2019.2 XB2 the scene looks identical to how the scene is set up in c4d. The render camera is in place, the render target settings are all correct. When bringing the ORBX file into the Unreal Engine plugin, the render target is completely reset, and no setting are transferred over. Also, there is no "orbx" camera to render through in unreal. The only view available to be rendered in octane is the viewport.
Any thoughts?
ORBX export from c4d not even close

ORBX files are proxies. We connect the geo/materials to the rest of the unreal scene but do nothing with the rest of the orbx.
We could extract the rendertargets in your orbx file, and place them in the unreal scene as OctaneRendertargetActors.
Could you tell me your process? Which version of Octane is your cinema 4d scene on?

I am not sure why this would happen, the orbx contents should be untouched. Which version ofthe render target is completely reset

This would be awesome.ChrisHekman wrote:We could extract the rendertargets in your orbx file, and place them in the unreal scene as OctaneRendertargetActors.
I'm testing the v.4.05 version in C4d. It's just strange that it's 1-1 in the 2019.2 XB2 standalone.

This functionality has been added in the latest build. It should copy the rendertarget settings. Some settings might not be converted like textures, maybe some animations will not work.LFedit wrote:This would be awesome.ChrisHekman wrote:We could extract the rendertargets in your orbx file, and place them in the unreal scene as OctaneRendertargetActors.
