I'm having different result using the same maps on diffuse and universal material.
try to create a tree leave using universal material, rather than using mix a diffuse and glossy.
but the translucency on universal material acts more like a specular material.
how do you fix this, please?

sorry, I have not seen your scene file, but please note that Universal material in v4 is not complete.
You need the Lambertian model available from v2019, to be able to mimic correctly the transmission of a diffuse material: ciao Beppe
