D M I V in the IPR window. What do they mean?

I know its probably nothing super important. But I am really curious. What do the letters - D M I V in the IPR window mean?

These buttons can be used to enable/disable the updating of the (D)eformations, (M)aterials, (I)nstancers and (V)olumes while moving the timeline.
