Hi there.

PrometheusA here, also know as prometheus on newtek forums, I just downloaded the Free Octane for blender release, unpacked the zipfile to my second harddrive, and opened serverprime folder, clicked on octaneServer, and logged in.
Then back to the client folder and starting the blender.exe file...then went to the preference tab to make sure it would use the cuda card, but no compatible cuda card could be found..so no octane available to choose from either.

The original Blender 2,8 beta does show this correctly and I can choose from that, but not this special release.

What gives?

Try to upgrade the Nvidia driver with a clean installation.
ciao Beppe
Think it is solved and I do not think that was the issue, I was looking in to preferences to make sure cuda should be selected..and thought that should be it in order to have octane show in the render tab, but
then I found out that the octane addon wasn´t installed by default, and that you have to check it as active...once that was done I could see octane in the render tab..and also use it, and I can see in that tab the device driver etc.
Though the preferences still shows that I do not have any gpu card found, maybe that is how it should be?

My standard 2.8 blender version shows that correctly though.

Nvidia drivers are about to be updated for game ready drivers, but it wasn´t long ago I updated anyway.
