Hi, guys,

I'm trying to get some good looking condensation on a packshot and encountered the following problem:

The mesh is already subdivided, at the curves of course more often than on the straighter surfaces.

I try with Octane Scatter to bring the drops onto the bottle, but as you can see in the screenshot, more drops are shown on the more subdivided areas than on the less subdivided areas.

I know that this is correct according to Octane's instructions.

But is it still possible to use Octane Scatter to apply drops evenly to the surfaces? Ode is there a possibility in Cinema4D to adjust the mesh accordingly?

Many thanks in advance,

Martin

Hi,
please, post a screenshot of the scatter node attributes.
Note that you can use several Scatter nodes with different scales, and use vertex maps to restrict/paint them where you want.

Hey, Beppe, thanks for the quick answer.
Here is the screenshot of the settings.

My plan looks like this at the moment:

If I manage to distribute the drops completely evenly over the bottle, I can control with a single scale map that there should be no drops at certain places (the map is completely black) and then from light grey (small drops) to white (large) drops everything can be controlled by hand.

The background is as follows: I work for really demanding customers in the beverage industry, who have an exact idea of what "their" condensation should look like.
It's not just a matter of simply adding drops of different sizes to the product.
These customers have a precise idea of where and which groups of drops need to be visible. The ratio of large to small drops is also extremely important.

Therefore, it would be perfect for me if I could control exactly how big the drops should be at certain places, ideally with exactly one map, like a real food stylist during the shooting.

I've added a few sample pictures that may illustrate what I mean by groupings.

Many thanks and many greetings,
Martin
