Hey - is it possible (or does there exist) a metaball primitive for Octane? I'm thinking something that uses the new OFX shaders. I'd like to replace points with metaballs.

OFX Metaball primitive?

Not currently in the OctaneRender for Modo plugin. However in Octane Standalone perhaps you could use the "Geometric Primitive"->Sphere, or a Vectron? Doubt they would support OFX though.

OFX? Do you guys mean OSL?
I'm not sure about the answer, but you may be able to use Octane Vectron for this (which is basically OSL geometry).
I don't think the Vectron support in modo is complete enough for union/subtraction though.
There is an example in the standalone manual of an sdf union (orbx) at the bottom here: https://docs.otoy.com/StandaloneH_STA/S ... umeSDF.htm
