This seems some kind of issue on the LightWave side. Do you know if the same happens with the LightWave native nodes? You should report this problem directly to the LightWave devs ...

Hi Juanjo,

I have just realized this topic is specific to Octane Render 2019.1 and not LW 2019.1 !
So, please free to move it at the correct place …

BTW, the scene I gave you the link also can not be shown in the VPR, only renderable with F9.
Any clue about what made it so long to prepare before real rendering ?

I was not using LW2019.1 just because Octane was not working properly.

Thanks for the update.
I'm talking about the Octane 2019.1 plugin builds, not the LightWave 2019.1 release. All the current plugins for LightWave 2019.0 should work fine in LightWave 2019.1 ... there are no changes in the SDK affecting the Octane plugin. Why do you say that Octane doesn't work properly on LightWave 2019.1?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

I sad it becouse when I select some Octane node does don´t active it self properties has this video show.

Hi Juango !

No problem ! It is better to wait a bit for a usable version !
Your work is really great, and that of the team too, we are all aware of what this represents, and we thank you !
It's a real working tool for us, a very powerful tool & very fast !

Personally, my workflow remained on LW 2015.3 + Octane 4.04, and it is already great, and I intend to keep this workflow, because it is just amazing !

I have my LW 2019.1, that I try to coax, everything is different since this new LW, I do not use it in production, soon may be ! With Octane 2019 & the plan I hope ! But all my content of archviz is to redo, setups, etc. .. But I prepare the ground ! In the meantime, despite all the advances & optimizations, only 3 things can really workflow switcher !

But will they be available on Octane 2019 cycle ??

01 _ RTX acceleration & optimizations ??
02 _ NVlink with 2080ti for 22 Go of Vram ??
03 _ Simpler & faster haze & volumetric lights ??

Otherwise, everything else is perfect !
Hoping that Octane 4.04 is supported for a while !
And that I can switch on Octane 2019 & LW 2019 quickly !

A nice continuation to you !
Thank you for everything !

Hi,

The RTX acceleration will be available in Octane 2019.2, later this year. The NVLink support is already available, it is a matter of adding the options to the plugins to use it, so I'll try to add it to the LW plugin ASAP, although perhaps if you enable this option in the Standalone, the LW plugin could use it now. About your third question, I have no news about new haze features, but at some point the plugin will support the already available volumetric light tool.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

The first build of the OctaneRender™ 2019.1 for LightWave™ plugin is finally available, including the latest Octane 2019.1 RC3 core. Thanks again for your patience.
