I have just downloaded and installed LW 2019.1 and Octane render 4.0.4 for LW.
So far, I have just noticed a huge slow down while Octane is reading objects before rendering… Is that a "normal" behaviour ?
Between using the plugin in LW2019.0 and LW2019.1? ... nope, this is not normal at all and makes no sense. Can you send me an example scene with this behavior?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

We already have a stable 2018.1.3.0 plugin build using the latest Octane 2018.1 core available, so probably there are not going to be more 2018.1 plugin releases until we get a new Octane 2018.1 core or there is any critical issue to fix. Our efforts are now in releasing the first 2019.1 plugin builds ...

Of course there are critical issues to fix, there are features that don't work!

The only 2018.1 missing feature is the volumetric lights. What else is not supported? And what critical issues are waiting to be fixed? ... any help to know these issues could help to try to improve the plugin development.

This feature will be added at the same time in the 2018.1 and 2019.1 plugin builds, once I had finished the LightWave plugin nodes builder code refactoring. Stay tuned, we are almost there ...

Thanks for your patience,

I was not using LW2019.1 just because Octane was not working properly.

Thanks for the update.
I'm talking about the Octane 2019.1 plugin builds, not the LightWave 2019.1 release. All the current plugins for LightWave 2019.0 should work fine in LightWave 2019.1 ... there are no changes in the SDK affecting the Octane plugin. Why do you say that Octane doesn't work properly on LightWave 2019.1?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

So when I normally select some octane node it can´t show me it propreties

Between LW 2015.3 (Octane 4.02.1.0) and LW 2019.1 (Octane 4.04.0.0)
From hitting F9 to RENDERING message :
LW 2015.3 : 1min 39sec
LW 2019.1 : 4min 31sec

I will pack the scene and send it to you asap.
