Hi all!
im a MAC user without CUDA graphics and cant use Octane render in my machine.
I was wondering if its possible to use Octane Cloud Render as a solution instead of Octane Render for C4D.
Most of my renders are still images.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
Render Cloud instead Octane in a non CUDA graphics computer?
Hi Ignacio,
no, it is not possible. You need to prepare the scene on a CUDA machine, even at low resolution, to be able to send it to the cloud to be rendered in high res.
If you can go back to High Sierra, even on an external hdd, you should be able to use Octane via Thunderbolt port eGPU solution:

I personally work everyday with an iMac 27" 2017 5k with Thunderbolt 3 eGPU 1070, under High Sierra.
Please, note that we are going to introduce Octane X, later this year, to definitely solve all the Mac issues:

hi beppe
when can we expect more details about octane X? I'm working on a hackintosh with 2x GXT 1070 on high sierra but I'm looking forward to a more stable long-term solution (my gpus crash if I have too many GPU dependant software running...).
thanks!
