Is there a way to go on working while rendering to disk?
When using IPR, I can use houdini but when rendering to disk, the whole Application is unusable until the rendering finishes.

Houdini Freezes while rendering to disk

Hi,
Not from the GUI. Octane renders the scene directly from the Houdini internal data, without exporting additional temp. scene files, so as you could understand modify the scene data while a sequence is being rendered is not a good idea.
But you can always render your scene in the background directly from the saved .hip file using hython or hbatch
