On OSX Octane Server is making one of my GPUs busy all the time even if it's not rendering. Quitting the server makes the GPU back to normal usage.

Hi J.C,

It seems like an sdk issue so could you please check it in standalone? Thanks.
In blender, You are able to find the driver preference from "Render-Octane Device Settings".

Standalone works fine. No GPU usage when not rendering.

This is still the same in 18.x. The GPU usage drops when I quit the Server. In standalone it does not happen.

In C4D plugin it is also fine when not rendering. No GPU usage.

This affects one GPU. The others usage is normal.

Does it happen in 16.6 too? And would you mind sharing me your setting about "Add-ons-Octane Render Engine-Empty GPUs After Render"? Thanks.

Thanks! This is a bit weird so we will test and investigate it in the coming 20.x first - in which version we have refactored designs and frameworks.

Experience this as well...

Actually only when doing preview rendering that one of the two RTX2080Ti keeps working at 65% after all samples are rendered....

This can only be stopped when leaving preview mode...

This is with latest 2019.1.1 20.3 blender plugin on Windows...

Hmm..will there be any Linux release soon?

We just got the Linux versions built and they should be out in these days.

@J.C,
Could you please check whether this issue happens in 20.x on OSX?
