I often have to compare two or more materials which are quite similar but might have different image maps etc, and I have to check the nodes to make sure they have the same roughness or noise or IOR settings. It's incredibly laborious to open one material, note a setting on a node, then close that material and open another, then check the same node has the same settings as the first material. I might have to do that with many many nodes one after the other on two complex materials, opening and closing the windows time after time.
I long for a workflow where I can see two or more node maps at once and compare them easily, even better would be to be able to drag and drop nodes and groups of nodes between two node editor windows.
I know I can copy and paste nodes, but it still involves shutting one window and opening another one.
