Hi,

Using the materialmixer and a few masks I'm mixing 3 materials. Works pretty cool, and there is a nice transitions between the imagemaps.
All three make use of a displacement map, and individually they look great.
Material mixer looses the displacements, and the result is a not displaced material.
When I plugin a displacement into the displacement input of the material mixer node, I only get one displacement visible (duh), and that displacement displaces also the material it's not originated from.

Is there a way to get this done right?

Thanks!
Hans

Hi,

I'm afraid that currently the displacements can't be mixed, so only the displacement linked to the material mixer is used.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for your reply! Not what i wanted to hear, but no is also an answer :)

Is this something that's going to be possible in the near future ?
And, is this an octane limitation or from the LW SDK? (just want to know)

Thanks!

Yes, sorry, it is an Octane core limitation. The displacement will be improved in Octane 2019.1, but I'm not sure if this limitation has been lifted yet.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
