It's been a long while since I had a play with Octane, and not paying attention last year I upgraded my mac to Mojave and have found out the hard way that cuda isn't supported.

I did use poser with the octane plugin on my mac. I do have a PC on my network with an Nvidia card that would work fine but I only own the poser software on the Mac.

Is it possible to use the Mac on mojave with poser and use the PC as the rendering device? I know you can set up slave renderers (although I've never tried) but doesn't it need the master computer (mac with mojave) able to run the Octane too?

If anyone knows if it is possible then please enlighten me. :D

Hi,
no, it is not possible at the moment, but we are going to introduce headless rendering for Mac during v2019 development.
For now, you should need to install a frash copy of High Sierra on an external hdd, with CUDA 410.130, and latest GPU drivers, to be able to use OctaneRender under Mac:
