Hi
I used standalone to create an .orbx with a .vdb inside
Then imported it in Modo using "proxy" with "live geometry" disabled
It's possible to "clone" the mesh that has the proxy loaded resulting in new mesh items, and it renders ok inside Octane. It's impossible to render "instanced" and "replicated" "proxys". Am I right?
Is there any workaround to enable the rendering of replicators using octane render?
As a side note: I noticed that when using this method nothing is displayed on the viewport. Although positioning the vdb proxy is possible using the mesh centre, it's impossible to have the size displayed. A workaround could be creating a mesh with the size and proportions of the vdb, and using it as reference for composing the image. Is there any other solution?
Thanks

Hey there,
That was a limitation some time ago but it's perfectly possible in the lastest versions:

That's how it's done. The Polygons in the Mesh Layer are only visible in the Viewport if a proxy is used.A workaround could be creating a mesh with the size and proportions of the vdb, and using it as reference for composing the image
As Hesekiel2517 says - if you update to the latest version of the plugin, it will potentially resolve your issue.
