Hello,
Doing some testing and run into an issue with thinkbox deadline render maanger
It seems that Octane is always using all GPUs in system, even tho deadline slaves have GPU affinity meaning each slave should use specific GPUs.
This is response from Thinkbox Deadline support:

I did some spelunking into the C4D Batch plugin, and it looks like we don't have code to control Octane at the moment.

GPU affinity is a very application / plugin specific feature as operating systems don't expose this to use as generically as CPU affinity. That means that we need to discover *how* to control it and usually that means how to control it within the application. For Redshift, that's via a command line flag to Cinema 4D itself.

Does anyone know how we can control Octane's affinity either from the command line or from within Cinema's API?

So there is question as well, is there way for them to control GPU affinity?
Thanks

You can select gpus for rendering by this notation
-octaneGPU "0:true 1:false"

Would really like this feature to work. Anybody got it working?

Looks like a small bug or we are missing something. :D

Hi

We are about to undertake deadline integration for C4D with Octane, this thread is very interesting because this is the second office i've worked in this year that is doing this exact integration.

Any testing needed do let us know.

Regards

I found that these options have an effect but rendering operations start before that. So gpu options will not be effective on first call.
