Hi
I am trying to use a greyscale texture/map to drive the animation of an object innside Forestpack.
The object is animated prior to the forestpack scattering.
The greyscale image offsets the animation.
As you can see in this GIF. https://imgur.com/a/H9BKfJ7
The white area is done animating while the black haven't started yet
The problem is that octane doesnt respect the animation offsett and all the spheres animates identical.
is there some instancing setting in octane or something that i can turn off to avoid this behavior?
Cheers

Hi Paride
We have tested 3ds max default gradient ramp and octane gradient.
We also made a gradient texturemap and tried using it as a bitmap, here also trying default 3ds max bitmap node and octane RGBimage node.
They all act the same.
The Forestpack position and animation offsett is also calculated prior to rendering. And all the methods above shows correct results in viewport.
Its when we render the problem appears.
It feels like octane is forcing all the proxies to be equal to the "original" object.

Sorry for the late reply.
Attached you will find maxfile using octane and Forestpack and a gradient.jpg
max 2019.3
Octane 4.02.1 - 6.14
Forestpack 6.2.1
Thank you.
