RTX optimised plugin version = subscription only ???

I'm not sure to understand the licenced/subsciption mode with Octane render plugin...
Does the V4.04 plugin for C4D is [url]the last version[/url] i can get with my licence ?
...That mean I'll have to get a monthly subscription for the RTX optimised plugin version ??????

For now yes, only monthly subscription or annual extension (if You already have V3/V4).

some new options might be coming with 2019 release.

actually not really that bad. For instance, 200$/year annual extension gives You:

* up to 40 GPUs (it was 20 before, and monthly subs are limited to two cards)
* extra render node licence (in the past You had to pay)
* all other plugins (in the past You would have to pay for each and every one of them)
* NVLINK support (monthly subscription do not have this)
* ORC subscription (that alone was 20$/month).

so it really depends from what perspective You are looking at this. For some users that's a great value!

I'm just interesting in RTX optimised plugin (C4D). I deal with only two GPUs (so 40 GPUs possibility is useless for me )
What do you mean by "all other plugins" ?

no, mentioned points were for those who already have V4 licence and order annual extension (https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/purchase/ and choose Upgrade)

You link is for monthly subscription, that does not include extra node, not network rendering, nor other plugins, nor NVLINK. However functionality wise (apart from mentioned differences) it is identical and You can use latest builds optimized for RTX cards.

as for all access, that's a bonus You get when You prepay for year, so if You take annual extension, You are able to use not only standalone and plugin You bought, but also any other in Your case. OTOY also had an option to prepay for one year while choosing monthly subscription route and get all access, but it's not available anymore.

Honeslty, if You already have V3/V4 licence, choosing annual extension (linked before in this comment) is not only giving You more, but actually cost less as well.
